Hi my name is Alex, I'm new to this group. A friend recommended that check out this site. After 18yrs of drinking and drugging, the disease almost took my life at the end of my run. This is my first time ever getting sober. I just turned 31and just received my nine month chip. First sober birthday, thanksgiving, Christmas, and newyear in 18yrs. It wasn't easy, but very simple. Go to meetings, don't drink or drug, ask for help, get a sponsor, work the steps, and help another alcoholic/addict. Anyway I'm very pleased to be here and can't wait to be apart of the fellowship. -alex-
