Default A Gentle Heart

A GENTLE HEART

In order for us to live every day, we need our hearts. Our hearts keep us alive. When we choose to eat healthier and exercise, we take care of our hearts. When we choose to allow God into our hearts, He will guard our hearts and teach us His ways. With our hearts we can live, we can breathe, and we can show love, tenderness and mercy. And because Jesus has a gentle and humble heart, we can have rest, we can have peace and we can have salvation.

Mark 11:29 “Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for a gentle heart. Thank You for Your gentleness and mercy. Thank You for Your Son who taught us how to have a gentle heart. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit who leads our hearts to do right. Thank You for Your peace, Your love and Your direction. Thank You for guarding our hearts and minds as we live for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Because Jesus is humble and gentle at heart, we can find rest.

Because Jesus guards our hearts and minds, we can have peace.

Because Jesus lives in us, we can have joy.

Our hearts are what guide us and keep us alive. Without Jesus in our hearts, we are lost.

We can experience God’s peace when we allow Him into our hearts.

Philippians 4:7 “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (NLT)

Proverbs 4:23 “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” (NLT)

Focus today: Ask God for a gentle heart and be more aware of the needs of others.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
