What Recovery Is
It's no wonder when we're new to recovery we're asked to keep coming back because most of what we hear is so very contradicting. This all can be straightened out for all of us if we know what recovery is. Recovery is a set of principles that are found in its 12 steps that have been organized in a way that if anyone practices all of them in order from beginning to end, it will cause that person to have change occur in them. For those of us who suffer from our problem this is good news for us, if we do the steps of recovery we'll become a changed person and because we do, we are no longer stuck in being the way all of us were which is where our problem is. We all become freed from it. We all still have it. This problem never goes away for any of us. It's still there for all of us, but as long as we keep close to those principles we found in recovery however it is we can do that, this problem doesn't really bother us all that much any more.
