Default Courage To Do What Is Right

COURAGE TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT

From the time we wake up in the morning until we lay our head down at night, we have choices. Whether we get up early or sleep in, it’s a choice. Whether we go to work or call in sick, it’s a choice. Whether we speak out for God and lead others to Him or we go our own way, it’s a choice. It takes courage to do what is right when everyone else is conforming to the things of the world. However, we are told to be transformed to the things of God and live in a new way that is obedient and pleasing to Him.

Romans 12:2 “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we know You have given us free will. We have the freedom to choose what we want to do and when we want to do it. However, we often take that freedom for granted and get into things that are not pleasing to You. Give us strength, Lord, to use our free will to turn to You for guidance so we are doing Your will in all we do. Help us to make the right choices which are always Your choices for our lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God has given us free will to choose what to do. It is up to us to make those hard decision that are right in His eyes.

When we are tempted to choose to do wrong, we can call on God to help us to do what is right.

If we focus on the things of the world every day, not only will we begin to create habits of the world but we will begin to make excuses why it’s okay to do them.

Filling our minds with God’s word will help us to make the choices He wants us to make.

If we want to do what is right in the eyes of God, we should take courage and do what He calls us to do.

2 Chronicles 11:19b “Take courage as you fulfill your duties, and may the Lord be with those who do what is right.” (NLT)
