Distractions come in many forms. Sometimes we get ourselves in a rut, and we can't get out of it. Sometimes, an old behavior, habit, or love comes back into our life, often of our own choosing.
No one can do anything to us without our permission. Through my God, I am empowered to do what I need to do for my recovery. Sometimes, things no longer serve me, and I need to look for an alternative route or a new awareness and commitment. Distractions can get us off track, or they can give you a new awareness as to what needs to be changed, like a new job, a new personal regime and/or a spiritual growth, and a new experience that your God wants you to go through. A lesson learned, a hardship, a spiritual awakening, all things that enriches our life. When I question myself, I am questioning my God.
