Our life will soon be over now that we've joined recovery so we think. All the fun in life will be gone soon, wrong ! The same type of people we knew before recovery are the same type of people we'll find in recovery minus the drinking and drugging of course. And if there's one thing we have one common it's without question we all like to have fun. It's true however that the type of fun we do enjoy now does change in recovery. We will no longer be having fun at the expense of others, and also we don't like seeing others being hurt as a way of having fun either. The fun we find in recovery is one everyone can enjoy, not the type that lacks a safety net that most of us have become used to. In recovery we find there's lots of ways to have good, clean, unadulterated fun. We can get sober and go out have ourselves some fun. It's okay if we do.
