Today's Reminder

I cannot simply shrug off the responsibility for facing my problems, however great they may be. True, I need God's guidance, but acting upon it is my job. I cannot evade it without turning my back on life itself.

"Let me not yield to apathy or defeatism, when in and all around me are the evidences of a loving God who will help me in all my need."

This reminds me of the meditation that has stuck with me over the years, "Give thanks it is already on it's way. It may not be in our time and we may become despondent. It has been my experience, that things go better when I ask God for what I need, and not be specific. He sees the whole picture. Sometimes we have tunnel vision and blockages that keep us from accepting and being open minded enough to receive the blessing that come our way.
