It Didn't Work

When I see that, my mind says, "It works when I work it." Did I work for my God or did I discount myself. Did I work at my recovery, or did I sit back and wait for God to do it for me, with no participaction on my part? Gratitude is an action word.

The beauty of a person....
Goes deeper than the skin
It's purity of the heart
And kindness that’s within

The smile that is so winning
The eyes that are sincere....
That extra mile they'll go for you
Shows how much they really care

They never keep a record
Of deeds that they have done
They have a kind of beauty
That outshines the morning sun
