Default Remember the wonders

Remember the wonders . . . Author Unknown

"Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done." Psalm 105:4,5

Thanksgiving is a time of quiet reflection and giving thanks for the past year and how the Lord has led us. We have much for which to be thankful! We are rich, though we may have little in the way of material possessions, because we have Jesus. Yes, we are rich indeed, for while the world around us walks in blindness, we walk in the light. Though the world around us looks for fulfillment in all the wrong places, we find fulfillment in Christ. We are blessed beyond measure to have Jesus Christ in our lives. We have in him a faithful friend, a devoted elder brother, a loving savior and a glorious bridegroom. As if that were not enough, we have the God of the Universe as our Father. It is awesome to think that God picked us for his children! He chose us while we were yet sinners, and loved us enough to redeem us. We have so much to be thankful for. Let our hearts ring forth in praise for the riches we have received, and the inheritance that is yet to come, if we are faithful!

Father, we thank You for the wonders You have performed on this earth, but even more we thank You for the wonders You have performed in our lives. You have made us Your children and given us the glorious hope of living with You for all eternity. Help us to reflect on Your goodness and never forget what You have done for us. We will praise You for all eternity for the wonders You have performed and will continue to perform for all time. Amen

Thanksgiving

Now Jesus once ten lepers healed—
But only one returned,
And offered thanks and praise and kneeled—
He gratitude had learned.

We too, were lepers touched by sin;
But He hath justified,
And cleansed us from what we had been,
And hath us sanctified.

May we his praises ever tell,
To all, His plan make know.
For gratitude doth us impel,
Our debt to Him to own. Quiet Waters

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.

So many times we focus on what we don't have, instead of being grateful for what we do have.
