Gratitude
Gratitude is powerful. When we choose to practice gratitude, we can change so many things. For example, when we are grateful for things in our lives we will begin to see blessings in those things. When we show gratitude to a friend or loved one, we can help them be encouraged. When we show gratitude to God for His blessings and promises, we become more aware of all He is and does. Gratitude can change lives. It can change our lives and the lives of others to remind us of the good God does and the blessings we have. Practice gratitude today and remember how great God is. SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” (NLT) ACTION STEPS: 1. Write how you show gratitude to God. 2. List the things you are grateful for because of Him. 3. Tell others about how great God is. 4. Let others know you are grateful for them and what they do. PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for all You do. There are things You do we don’t even know about. There are things You do we don’t even acknowledge. Help us to be more mindful of what you do and remind us we are to share what You do with others. We are so grateful for the many blessings and promises You give. We want to share Your word, Your blessings, and Your promises with others showing gratitude to You and giving You all the glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen. REMEMBER: God gives us victory over sin when we choose to trust in Him. Let’s show Him the gratitude He deserves. 1 Corinthians 15:57 “But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (NLT) Psalm 9:1 “I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.” (NLT) We can practice gratitude to God through prayer and praise and worship. Colossians 4:2 “Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.” (NLT) FOCUS: 1 Timothy 1:12 “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him,” (NLT) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...log_id=6450132
