Default Dry and alive

I fell into the AA program when I walked out of a mental word for attempted suicide. That was my first AA meeting. Group that was there helped me more than I taught was possible. I have been sober ever since that day 16 years ago. Any one that tries to tell me that the program doesn't work I tell them my story. You see I was a black out drinker For more years than I can remember about that part of my life. After a few years in the program I understood why those people at my first meeting were smiling and told me that I was the most important person in the room. Now I am always grateful for first stepper meetings. I may talk too much at meetings But I hope I can help someone like me when I walked into the door. I show my experience strength and hope and hope they get just a little that they could relate to.
