In Weakness
He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Isaiah 40:29 Recommended Reading 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 [ http://iz3.me/q82F2zeTx1A1 ] When we talk about weakness, we’re admitting inadequacy. Perhaps you don’t have all the strength needed to perform some task. Maybe you give out before the day is over or the job is done. Perhaps you’re disabled and unable to function as independently as you’d like. Perhaps your finances are tight and you’re not able to give as much as you want. Perhaps you feel inadequate in the role you’re trying to fill at church. Do you feel unusually weak in the face of some temptation just now? Listen to Today's Radio Message [ http://iz3.me/r82F2zeTx1A1 ] The Lord knows all about it. Jesus suffered weakness in His flesh so He can sympathize. He understands your feelings of inadequacy better than anyone. He can also give needed strength for whatever He calls you to do today. The apostle Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” The phrase “all things” refers to whatever God has assigned to us. We can live in victory and obedience, even when we’re weak. In our weakness, Jesus understands and He undertakes for our needs. He is always present in our weakness, and you can trust Him today. Accept every experience by which God teaches thee thy weakness as His grace preparing thee to receive His strength.
