Beware Of All Forms Of Pride
Taken from Guidebook to Living When I am blessed with abundance, I will beware lest my heart becomes proud, and I forget the Lord my God who provided all good things, thinking that it was my power and the strength of my hand that brought this wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:12-14, 17) Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18) Lord God, May I ever cultivate the wisdom of gratitude in all things so that I remember that every good thing comes from Your hand. You graciously provide me with far more than I deserve, and I acknowledge that it is Your power and the strength of Your hand that has blessed me. Amen.
