Default Give it to God

Give it to God
"Commit your way to the Lord."
Psalms 37:5

One day a kid playing with an expensive porcelain vase got his hand stuck in it and couldn't get it out. Before resorting to breaking the vase, his dad said, 'Son, relax, just open your hand and pull it out.' To his dad's astonishment the lad said, 'I can't. If I do I'll drop the 20p.'
A lot of us are just like that kid, so busy holding onto something of little worth that we are on the edge of breaking something much more valuable; our lives! Let go of that thing you're holding onto; it isn't worth it! Let God have His way, 'Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this' (Psalm 37:3-5). The words, 'trust, delight, and commit' are your keys to success. Give up trying to handle life by yourself. Put it into God's hands and allow Him to work. He's not stumped by what going on in your life right now. Check His record of achievement! Do you seriously think your problem is too big for Him, or that He can't do it without your help? Come on, give it to God and watch what happens!

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!

So often we get the thought and say the words, but in truth we can not let go completely, or we put conditions on it along with wishes and wants. Bargaining with God is part of depression.
