We've all had ours, those of us who are in recovery. That first day that many of us weren't even aware we were having it when we did, and for the rest of us it was so painfully obvious that we were having it. This day is not to be confused with all the other stopping and starting days that we've all had before coming into recovery. There's something different about this day and all of us have dreaded getting to this day, but at the same time we were all relieved that it was finally here. This is the day when we all gave up and threw in the towel. All of us were sick and tired of all this and all that our life has become because of this. This is where recovery begins for all of us, and it was on this date 90 years ago today, that one of us who is responsible for starting this whole process by which all of us are able to get recovery through had their first day. A day that all of us should all be grateful for no matter which one of us is having this day because this is a good day indeed for all of us to have, and not something any of us should ever dread having. Day one is where it all starts and that's a good thing to have for sure for all of us.
