What we find when we all come into recovery is what we all thought was boredom is something else that is much more deep rooted in all of us. It's described as restlessness combined with irritability, followed by a discontentment with ourselves and of life in general, and with us all wanting to be here and being alive. We all have this in one form or another and the best thing that recovery does for all of us who have this, is a way for all of us to be able to free from being this way. This is something that none of us could find on our own, and we've all looked for a way to do this everywhere we could. Most of us could sense that not everyone we met had this, and we all thought that we were the only ones who did, until we all finally get to recovery where we find a whole group of people who understand exactly what it's like to have this and to be this way, and who have been able to do something about this through being in recovery and when we've all finally been able to something about this is when all of us will know a new happiness and a peace like none of us have ever known before. And because of us now having these two things all of us become grateful to be alive and to be here, and for the opportunity to finally be able to live in this world and be part of it, like none of us were ever able to before when we've all been bored with living.
