More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren’t so busy denying them.”
-Harold J. Smith
Such powerful insight in the complexity of our human perceptions. To really understand that we live in a fallen world where sin prowls and to accept the fact we WILL make mistakes from now till the end of time will open the door to accountability and reception of Gods grace. Unfortunately our flesh makes us “think” we have to be perfect and the thought of a fall would tarnish our likability, acceptance, value, love, etc. this thought is the greatest tool the enemy uses through the power of deceit. The apple satan uses to entice us to bite and make excuses to live in sin, validate destructive behavior, live selfishly in the worlds possessions, hold resentments, stay stuck in past hurts and to hold onto the lies that the world flashes. Deceit is defined as:[ the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid.] It’s a mirage that draws you to a temporary ego filled fix causing you to gain little things to lose the big things. This is the enemy’s greatest way to keep you from Gods Truth. But be not discouraged because no matter where you are at in your life there IS a way to recognize deceit and defend against it. Gods Truth will uncover satans lies. For we must be battle ready every single day to put on Gods armor, opening our eyes to guidance in Gods word of Truth through His handbook of life. The Bible. When we feel deceived in pain of unworthiness seek the source, when the world tells you there’s no way out seek the breathe of life, when the world fills you with darkness seek the promises of light, when you feel lost and alone seek the arms of Jesus- for you were not created to be a victim of deceit and lies from the worlds sinful ways. You were created out of love to love and shine in love! Your were chosen by God because He knows what’s pure and true in your heart. So as you approach ALL days equip yourself with Gods armor of Truth and be accountable for your falls for they are the greatest opportunity to reveal where growth can occur and changes can be made. Hold onto love and let the poison of resentments and deceit no longer eat your identity.
“But everything exposed by light becomes visible-and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: Wake up sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. Be very careful then how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” Ephesians 5:13-17
