Doing recovery together is where we all get the strength to do what it is we couldn't do on our own. Many of us think after having experienced this strength usually for the first time that we're good now, and we can take it from here. On our own we'll never have it, the strength that comes from doing this together, and it's only a matter of time before we slip back into being powerless, and the obsession of trying to have control once again. Whatever it is that draws us away from the strength we find from doing recovery together needs to be removed, so that we may continue to receive this strength. Whatever we put before our recovery not only will we end up losing that, but also the strength we get from doing recovery together.
