Default Knowledge Brings Gratitude

KNOWLEDGE BRINGS GRATITUDE

The more we know about God, the more grateful we will be. When we realize His goodness, mercy and grace are meant for us, we will want to give Him thanks. When we share His wisdom with others, we will want to give Him glory. Knowledge about God will create in us the desire to show gratitude to Him and we will want to worship and get to know Him even more.

SCRIPTURE: Colossians 3:16 “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. List ways you are grateful to God.
2. Write down what you can share with others.
3. Know God wants us to remember Him every day.
4. Get to know God more by reading His word and listening to Him daily.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, the more we get to know You, the more we become grateful for all You do and for who You are. We want Your word to fill our lives so we can remember we need You in every part of our lives. Today, we come to You showing gratitude and love for all You are. You do so much for us because You love us. Help us to accept Your love, obey You and share Your love with others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
When we truly know who God is we will be grateful for all He does.

Showing gratitude to God includes worship and prayer.

God loves us and wants us to remember Him in all that we do.

When we want to show God how grateful we are, we can do that by living in obedience to Him.

The words we say and what we do shows how grateful we are to God for our lives.

FOCUS: Colossians 3:17 “ And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” (NLT)

Let’s be sure our actions and words are showing others we are a representative of God and we are grateful to Him.
