Default Troubles Humble Us

TROUBLES HUMBLE US

It’s true. When we go through trials in life, we realize we need God. And when those troubles come, we usually humble ourselves before Him and ask Him for help. We sometimes wonder why we have to go through hard times but without them we wouldn’t know what God is capable of doing. Without struggles, we wouldn’t learn. Without issues, we wouldn’t grow. Without anguish and grief, we may forget to lean on, trust in and humbly walk with God.

Isaiah 38:15b “Now I will walk humbly throughout my years because of this anguish I have felt.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us to remember You in both the good times and bad. You are our Creator. You are our Savior. You are our Lord. We aren’t complete without You in our hearts and lives. When troubles come, we know we need You. However, help us remember every day we need You in the good times as well. Thank You for the struggles, the lessons and the love You have for us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We are humbled by our troubles because we know only God can truly help us.

Troubles humble us to totally lean on God.

One of the best things we can do in hard times, is humble ourselves before God.

God is all we need. When we decide to humble ourselves before Him in hard times, He will give us comfort.

Tough times reveals our character and obedience to God.

Deuteronomy 8:2 “Remember how the LORD your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands.” (NLT)

Focus: Know that you can depend on God in the good times just as you can in the hard times.
