Default Why spend money on what is not bread?

Why spend money on what is not bread?

Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Isaiah 55:2

We all run after things bigger, better, designer wear, gourmet meal, exotic vacations - but do these ever satisfy us? Sadly, never! We are only broke and exhausted at the end of the day.

There is however one thing that is truly satisfying - which is the joy of His salvation; and the only source it comes from is our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!

There are multiple Scriptures on those lines...

I (Jesus) am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. John 6:51

Taste and see that the LORD is good Psalm 34:8

Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. John 6:27

On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine - the best of meats and the finest of wines. Isaiah 25:6

Now, have you tasted Him? Today?

Coffee with Jesus

A good one! It reminds me of one of my JoAnne sayings, "If I can't eat it or drink it, I don't like buying it." That includes cleaning supplies, bathroom stationary, and all round general expenses of day to day living.

I have always been a big bread eater, now I have to cut back. Yet the bread of life, that comes from my God, I need a steady diet of.
