Default Standing Firm - Sword of the Spirit Day 7

Sword of the Spirit by SGLY Ministry

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Ephesians 6:17 KJV.

The word of God is our only weapon of offense against the enemy. All the other pieces of Armor are for defense. The Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God what we use to fight the enemy. Remember Ephesians 6:12 tells us that we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, we need the power of God’s word to push back these enemies, in order to stand firm in our faith. We need to do just as Jesus did when He was tempted by satan in the wilderness, He only spoke scripture to him.

Prayer: Thank You God for Your word which is a powerful weapon against the enemy. Help me to remember to read it daily and memorize it so that it is ready weapon when the enemy strikes.

Today: Start every day reading the word for God’s word is truth that fights against the father of lies. Read it, speak it and memorize it to keep your Sword sharp. Wear the Armor daily as defense, but don’t forget to carry the Sword and use it whenever you feel attacked.

Blessings to you as you suit up in God’s Armor, stand firm, and fight the enemy with the Sword of the Spirit daily.
