Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 30:15 For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, "In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength." (ESV)

Today's Inspiring Thought: Rest in Quietness and Trust

When Isaiah spoke these words of the Lord, Israel ignored God's call to depend on him alone for strength. Instead, God's people ran after help from other nations. Today, God is still calling us to turn to him for strength, and to rest in quietness and in trust. Yet, our tendency is to run around frantically looking for help, trying to save ourselves from trouble.

In times of distress, remember these words from the book of Isaiah. Our man-made efforts to save ourselves are frantic and futile. Return to resting in God and you will be saved. In quietness and trust the Lord shall be your strength.
