#100 If you don't really feel like going through the trouble of softening your brown sugar and don't want to go to the store to get some, and your kids are throwing you a guilt trip because you aren't making cookies, you can make a substitution by substituting an equal amount of granulated sugar plus 1/4 cup molasses (light or dark) for every cup of white sugar.
