Default What We Endure

WHAT WE ENDURE

When we grow up and move out, we don’t know what we will encounter in life. Some think everything is going to be great. Some believe there will be no issues and no problems. However, we are hit with the reality of responsibilities that we may not be prepared for. We have bills. We have relationship issues. We have problems. And we have to endure through those things. We get confused. We worry. We have doubt. And we begin to reach out to something to help us cope. Life can sometimes overwhelm us. That is why we need God to help us. Only He can help us make it through life successfully. Only He can help us endure.

James 5:11 “We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we come to You to ask You into our lives. We know we have issues that are overwhelming at times. We know we have worries and doubts and fears. What we have to endure in life can overcome us if we are not careful. What we have to endure in life can break us if we don’t lean on You. Help us to deal with our situations in life today by reading Your word, talking to You and obeying You. We know when we lean on You when we are troubled, You will give us peace. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

What we endure in life is nothing compared to what Jesus endured; however, we can focus on God and He will help us through it all.

If we want to succeed in dealing with our problems and handling our suffering, we have to know God and lean on Him.

We all have things in life we have to endure. Putting God first in our lives will help us get through those things.

There will be times when we suffer for doing right but that is way more pleasing to God than suffering for doing wrong.

When we suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, we will please God.

1 Peter 2:20b-21 “But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you. For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.” (NLT)

Focus: God is good to those who endure suffering because they are doing His will.
