Return to Recovery
Hi everyone... I am back in recovery after a year or more of drinking and drugging. I was a member of this forum before I relapsed. I was clean and sober for about 3 months before I had my first drink, it was only a matter of a few months before I was back in full blown addiction.
Needless to say, I am very happy to be back in recovery. Not that all my waking moments are wonderful because most of the time I am in misery. My nerves are out of control, my negative self talk is devistating, I cry at least 3 times a day minimum. I am in the first couple weeks of sobriety and I have yet to feel much peace. The one thing I am counting on is that it gets better and I will recover. I see happy, joyous and free members in the rooms and I know that if I continue to abstain and keep coming back I too will be well of body, mind and spirit. I must believe this or I will continue to remain sick. Thank you all for being here and thank you for hosting this website/forum. --Marcy |

Hi MArcy
Welcome home and to the journey I hope you are able to stop beating yourself up ... and stay in the middle of the hayride. I learned that I am less likely to fall off while I am building and adding to my spiritual too box if I sit in the middle of the wagon when it hits a bump in the road [life on life's terms] Please keep coming back and know that we are here for you & with you |

Welcome back, so glad you found your way back to us. It is a one day at a time program, and remember you can start a new day any time. Just for today, I choose not to use or abuse myself and others.
