Default Put God in the driver’s seat

Daily Word from Pastor Graham

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. James 1:17

Across the world today, people drive very different kinds of cars. But whether American, Japanese, Italian, French, or British, there’s one feature that’s found in almost every car even though it’s not essential to making the car run. I’m talking about the glove box.

You can make the car run without a glove box. In fact, usually the only time we get into the glove box is in some kind of emergency. And the sad truth is that many people practice their faith just like they use a glove box. It’s not really instrumental in their daily lives. They only open it when there’s an emergency.

When it comes to the Christian faith, God gives us grace to not only carry us through the tough times, but to also make the good times all the sweeter. That’s because when things are good, we’re able to recognize God as a giver of good gifts instead of just running to Him as our convenient “problem fixer” in times of need.

So walk with God daily. Don’t let Him become the glove box in your car of life. Instead, put Him in the driver’s seat and give Him control of every hour of every day!

GIVE GOD CONTROL OF EVERY MINUTE OF YOUR LIFE AND EXPERIENCE HIS BEST GIFTS FOR YOU!

Like the title. So many people say, "I control my life." I surrender my life into the care of my God and ask Him to guide me. He empower me and shows me how to live clean and sober. It is not my control, it is my God's good orderly direct, His strength, courage, motivation, inspiration, and the list goes on and on.

Control is an illusion. If you have to control it, it is already out of control. This is something that I need to keep reminding myself, it is not about you, you are no longer the 'god' of your life.
