To Thy Own Self Be True
We are the only ones that can save ourselves from the illness we have. No one can make us. Not our friends, parents nor the rest of the family. Not the judges, doctors, teachers, or loved ones. None of them can do anything to make us do what we need to do. We are the only ones that can decide to save ourselves; they can't make us want to, only we can do that for ourselves. To Thy own self be true allows us to be honest enough to begin our recovery to save ourselves. There's no point in which choosing not to save ourselves will do us any good or any one else.
