ACCEPTANCE

We have heard the quote about accepting the things that we can’t change, right? If we don’t do that, we will just be making things hard on ourselves. There are people we will encounter as we strive to reach our goals that we don’t agree with. There will be some who want to go against what we are doing. However, spending our lives trying to change something or someone will keep us from doing God’s will. We are to accept others just as Christ has accepted us. We are to trust in God in situations we cannot change. Doing these things will free us to reach the goals we are created to accomplish.

SCRIPTURE: Romans 15:7 “Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write what you have tried to change in the past.
2. List the things God wants you to accept.
3. Know God is always in control.
4. Pray to accept what you cannot change and continue to do God’s will.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for the trials we have in life. We know You love us and life will not always be easy. There will be those who want to fight against us. There will be those who want to hurt us. There will be trials and issues in life. Despite all this, Lord, we know You want us to accept what we cannot change and allow You to be in control. Help us to focus on You and Your plan for us. Help us to accept the things we cannot change and continue to do Your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
We are accept what others say to us and turn the other cheek showing them we have the love of God in us.

Lamentations 3:30 “Let them turn the other cheek to those who strike them and accept the insults of their enemies.” (NLT)

We are accept those who are weak in faith knowing God wants us to lead by example and point them to Him.

Romans 14:1 “Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong.” (NLT)

We are to accept the hiccups of life knowing God is and always will be in control.

FOCUS: Job 2:10b “Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?” (NLT)
