Relapsing back to where any of us may have once been is not at all that unusual after coming into recovery. Sometimes this will happen right away other times it can take awhile before it does regardless of when this happens we need to know it doesn't have to, and it won't as long as we all are doing what recovery teaches us all how to do so we can all stay adhered to the principles that are found here in recovery that we all need to be practicing all the time then this won't ever happen, and when we don't, always does. There is no exception to this for any of us and many of us have had to learn this the hard way. From now on our life for all of us is one of us all being willing to stay active in our recovery or we could end up losing both. That's just how it goes for all of us going forward and as dismal as this may sound in the beginning of our recovery it's really not as bad as we all would all like to think that it is when we all first heard this. All the things that recovery requires for all of us to do aren't really all that impossible to do as some of us would like to think that they are when we all start out, but over time we realize just how easy these things really are, and the principles that we're all asked to try to live by if you were to ask anyone outside of recovery what they think of these they will always tell you it's good live by these principles if you want to be happy, useful and whole. Relapse has never been a requirement for being in recovery and as long as we're doing what we all need to be doing so we can be in recovery it will never have to be in our life either.
