Default Pursuing Peaceful Relationships

Let him search for peace (harmony; undisturbedness from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts) and seek it eagerly. [Do not merely desire peaceful relations with God, with your fellowmen, and with yourself, but pursue, go after them!] — 1 Peter 3:11 (AMPC)

Pursuing Peaceful Relationships by Joyce Meyer

The Word of God instructs us to desire peaceful relations with God, with ourselves, and with one another. It actually says we are not merely to desire them, but to pursue and go after them.

I like to say the Bible is a book about relationships. It has a great deal to say about our relationship with God—everything starts with the development of our relationship with the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ. God's Word also talks extensively about our relationships with other people—teachings on love, proper attitudes, serving others, and giving abound. The Bible also teaches us about the importance of having a proper attitude toward ourselves.

Receive God's love and develop a good relationship with yourself. Value yourself and realize that you are created in God's image and that He delights in you. When you have a good relationship of love and acceptance with the Father and with yourself, it will be easy to have good relationships with other people.

Prayer Starter: Father, help me pursue peace in my marriage, my relationships and in every area of my life, amen.
