Default Just For Today Day 1 Putting Off

Just For Today Day 1 Putting Off by SGLY Ministry

Just for Today I will put off all…ANGER
A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1 NKJV

Today’s Thought:
Scripture clearly tells us to put off anger.

Paul in Ephesians 4:26,27[NLT] says: “And don’t sin by letting anger gain control over you. Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a mighty foothold to the Devil.”

And James 1:19-20 (NLT) says: “Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.”

Therefore, just for today, let’s make it a priority to put off all anger in our lives.

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, just for today, please help me to keep from speaking harsh words that might stir up anger.
I want to be able to give a soft answer if someone confronts me in anger.
I don’t want anger to control me Lord.
I want to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry just like Your word says.
So I trust that You, Lord, will help me to put off all anger in my life …One day at a time…
Thank You, Lord. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
