Michael Faraday, the great chemist, gave a series of lectures, later published as a book with the title, The Chemical History of a Candle. These are his closing words to the people listening.
All I can say to you at the end of these lectures is to express a wish that you may, in your generation, be fit to compare to a candle; that you may, like it, shine as lights to those about you; that, in all your actions, you may justify the beauty of the taper by making your deeds honourable and effectual in the discharge of your duty to your fellow men. - Celia Haddon (from The Yearbook of Love and Wisdom) http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x...100/005_44.gif |
Act As If Act as if what you intend to manifest in life is already a reality. Eliminate thoughts of conditions, limitations, or the possibility of it not manifesting. TREAD SOFTLY ON YOUR FRIENDS http://www.animated-gifs.eu/phone-24...abies/0076.gif When you open the door to the heart of a friend, tread softly. When into its chambers you slowly descend, tread softly. When you look in the corners, when you walk down the halls When look behind doors and you look behind walls When you stop when you hear It’s your name someone calls, tread softly. When you start to feel comfy and feeling at ease, When you're having your fun and starting to tease, When you fall for the notion this friend is a breeze, tread softly. For inside this heart lives a delicate thing; it makes tulips open, it makes songbirds sing, it makes every morning a beautiful spring, so tread softly. Mariane Holbrook |

If we focus too much on ourselves and the troubles in our lives, it is very difficult to be happy. Lord, refresh my spirit, help me let go of longing to become something I am not and show me how to be the best of who I am.
Do that which is right and learn to do it for the right reason. Lord, give us strength as we stand up to temptation and spiritual power as we resist the pressures and stresses that bear down on us. Original source unknown http://www.animated-gifs.eu/religion...cross/0051.gif |

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting. I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye. Unknown to me |

One of my favourite. I utilized it to help stop abusing myself when I thought I didn't measure us and do what I was suppose to do. It helped me to go with the flow and when something happened in my life that cause me to take a detour or turn around and go another direction.
