Default Change opens the way to greater good

Divine Order
Change opens the way to greater good.

Nature moves in cycles from activity to dormancy. First comes a clearing away of the old, then a time of stillness, then new life. Seasons change in a predictable way; yet my life may not always appear so orderly. What may look like turmoil is really life transforming into a new season. What may look like inactivity is really the precursor to new growth.

As a child, I learned what to expect from spring, summer, fall, and winter. As an adult, I learn to trust the cycles of renewal in my own life. I learn from the past, release what no longer serves me, and create each new day. I appreciate the endings that lead to new beginnings, and give thanks that the goodness of God is present in every experience.
I trust in you, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.”—Psalm 31:14

So many people fear change and are slow to let go and let God. Using was not an option, so I had to deal with the issues that brought me to the doors of recovery. I didn't have to love it to accept it, I just had to do an inventory on what was there, what needed to be changed, what need to be revised, what needed to be nurtured, and know that all things are subject to change. If I don't change, I don't recover. I may be a dry drunk and put the cork in the bottle, but the old me is still there, fighting and kicking all the way, because we fear taking risks and stepping out of our comfort zone.
