Steps 10 and 11

Steps 10 and 11
AT NIGHT WE CONSTRUCTIVELY REVIEW OUR DAY.
REMEMBER: THIS IS EVERY EVENING

Answer Yes of No;

1. Was I angry or resentful today?
2. Was I selfish today? (Excessive thought of self)
3. Was I dishonest today? (Intent to deceive)
4. Was I fearful or afraid today?
5. Do I owe someone an apology?
6. Was I kind and loving toward all today?
7. Have I kept something to myself that should be discussed with another person at once?
8. Was I thinking of myself most of the time?
9. (or) Was I thinking of what I could do for others, of what I could pack into the stream of life?
10. Did I drift into worry, remorse or morbid reflections of the past today?
11. After making this review, have I asked God’s forgiveness?
12. Have I inquired what corrective action should be taken?

(Big Book Page 86)

On the reverse side:

WE CONSIDER OUR PLANS FOR THE DAY
REMEMBER: THIS IS EVERY MORNING

Have I asked God to direct my thinking today, especially asking that it be divorced from self-pity, dishonest or self-seeking motives?

Have I asked God for freedom from self-will being careful to make no request for myself only? (We may ask for ourselves, however, if others will be helped.)

Following by the Third Step Prayer

Followed by a place for Thank you God for all these things, good and bad

Was just looking at this on another site, glad it is posted here.

To omit Step 10 from our recovery, is a good way to become complacent, and get back into Self instead of being God-Centered.

We drift from others, become isolated, and allow people, places, and things back into our lives to play the 'god' of the day.

Have found since I wrote this that Step Ten can be any time during the day, I don't have to wait until bedtime. With me bedtime can be any time.

As they say, Step Ten is a maintenance Step. It helps me maintain my mental, emotional, spiritual and physical sobriety throughout the day. I can come to a place in my day where I am at dis-ease with myself, that is when I have to turn to my God.

The As in my life aren't the only ones with a disease. As the slogan says, "Let it begin with me." It isn't about them, it is about me and my recovery.

Not disagreeing at all , but I like to think of Steps 10,11 and 12 more as ENHANCEMENT Steps:)

That too, certainly growth Steps if you want sobriety, not just being clean and sober.
